One awaits for the weekend, because it’s when people go out and you can get to hang out with them. They’re not working, and you (perhaps) after catching up on work, can escape for a while and go mingle, cos during the week you don’t even step out of the house and then, boom!, migraine is here. Undo your plans, upset your friends, upset yourself cos you can’t go out, or watch TV, or wotk, or check your Facebook. You basically sleep. You sleep because light hurts you; noises, too, and odours make you wanna trhow up. You sleep because your new migraine pills make you even more sleepy than usual, because you’ve been designed this way and you lack hypocretin, because your body kills it, or that’s what studies say… not neurologists, because those tell me between a little bit and nothing… and they don’t want to put you on more meds, since you’re already well served with the rest of your drug consumption.
So your days go to waste, the pass by and they go and they leave. And you start wondering… how do people live with this? How do they manage to have a life? What kind of jobs do they have? Who can I talk to so that I can find a job where people understand? Should I write about this on my blog? If I don’t… what would I talk about since nothing really happens to me?
And, suddenly, you wake up feeling better on Sunday. But the day passes by and it comes with noises, people, chaos. And chaos brings your friend back, again. Always there, hiding in the shadows of the dull heat of the summer, or the weather changes, or the stress, or life itself… to come back visit you, say hi and stay for a while.
I hope your weekends have been good to you.
Cheers,
c
PS. The one on the photo is my nephew, the littlest one. He’s been here a couple of times now. He turned 6 months 2 days ago and he’s so funny and nice and cute. Happy halfyear, enano! He looks so serious here… but he’s normally happy and smiling. For some reason, I’ve decided to post this one… maybe because of the migraine.
